The impressive prowess of the University of Texas Longhorn Band is in full display in this 1964 footage of the band practicing and performing at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Based on the location, the game was most likely the annual Red River Rivalry between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. Also featured are game-day traditions like the Texas Cowboys firing Smokey the Cannon and an appearance by live mascot Bevo VII.
