Description: Silent color original footage from approx. 1952 shows California wildland firefighters conducting a planned burn (igniting brush on fire under controlled conditions for future risk reduction) and fire suppression activities in typical "protective gear" of the era (a long sleeved khaki shirt, khaki pants and a felt hat). Contains scenes of post-war vintage trucks and equipment. Dodge Power Wagon and Jeep with Department of Natural Resources logos appear.
