Description: A neo-realistic approach is used to tell the story of a 7-year-old Brooklyn boy and his 10-year-old brother burdened with the task of babysitting for him. In order to evade his responsibility, the elder boy tricks Joey into thinking he has killed another youngster with his cap gun. Being a stalwart devotee of Gene Autry, Joey runs away to Coney Island. He forgets his guilt long enough to enjoy the rides, games and animals and remains absorbed in his fantasy adventure until a suspicious pony-ride operator takes notice and calls his mother.
