Description: Mr. Johnson plans a family trip using a map, which helps him find locations and navigate distances. Inspired, Tommy decides to create a map of his route to school, noting various landmarks like houses, a store, and the school playground. He begins with cardboard models of buildings and later uses colored wood and cloth strips to represent different places. Ultimately, Tommy draws a map that displays the proximity and size of the buildings in his neighborhood, showcasing the path he takes to school and back home.
