Leslie's cube

Description: The radiation of heat of various substances is illustrated with standard equipment. Hot water is poured into a cube adjacent to a horizontal thermometer. This cube has faces of different materials and each face is presented to the thermometer in turn. The resulting rates of rise and fall in temperature registered on the thermometer are noted.
