[Music] God found him in the waist and Howling [Music] Wilderness now the Lord said unto Abraham get thee out of thy country and from thy Kindred and from thy Father's House unto a land that I will show thee and I will make of thee a great nation and they went forth from ER of the Cales to go into the land of [Music] Canaan lift up thine eyes and look northward and Southward and Westward and was then in the land n [Music] and it came to pass that God did tempt Abraham and said unto him take now thine only son Isaac whom thou lovest and offer him and Abraham bound Isaac and laid him on the altar Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son the Lord called unto him out of heaven and said lay not thine hand upon the lad for now I know thou fearest God Jacob said to all that were with him put away the strange gods that are among you and they gave unto him all the strange gods and Jacob hid them under the oak the Lord spake unto Moses saying if you will keep my Covenant then ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation and thou shalt remember all the ways which the Lord thy God LED thee these 40 years in the wilderness to Humble thee that he might make thee know that man does not live by bread [Music] [Music] alone for the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land a land of Brooks of fountains and depths that spring out of the valleys and Hills go over this River Jordan thou and all thy [Music] people the land with ye go to possess it is a land of Hills and Valleys and drinketh water of the rain of Heaven and the Sea of canit which and he has become my salvation who is like unto thee Oh Lord among the gods who is like thee glorious in Holiness the Lord shall reign forever and ever and the Canaanites went out they and all their hosts with them with horses and chariots to fight against Israel and the Lord discomforted them before Israel and slew them with a great Slaughter and chased them along the way as they fled before Israel the Lord cast down great stones from Heaven upon [Music] them and they died more died from hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword so Joshua smot all the country of the hills and of the veil and of the springs and all their kings because the Lord God of Israel fought for [Music] Israel and Joshua took hatau and smote the king thereof with the sword for hatau was what shall I cry all flesh is grass and all its beauty like the flowers of the field the grass withers the flower Fades but the word of our God will stand [Music] forever how shall we sing the Lord's song in a foreign [Music] Land If I forget thee Oh Jerusalem let my right hand lose its cunning let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you if I do not set Jerusalem above my burning torches to be thrown upon the inner wall and as it was mostly made of wood it soon took fire and the wind blew strongly against the wall that night the Romans returned to their camp with joy and resolved to attack the Israelites on the very next day when eleasa saw the wall burned down by the fire knowing what the Romans would visit upon them their wives and their children he gathered all together and said we were the first that revolted against the Romans and we are the last to resist them I cannot but esteem it as a favor that God hath granted us that it is still in our power to die bravely and in a state of Freedom we who have been raised up in our own sacred discipline must serve example to our brethren in our Readiness to die with the rising of the Sun the Romans moved up the
