The KTLA newsfilm collection at UCLA consists of cut and unedited stories, outtakes and fill footage, originally shot on 16mm reversal film stock with magnetic soundtrack. Some footage, particularly material not used for broadcast, may be without sound.

Summary: Silent, black and white footage of Martin Luther King Jr. speaking during a luncheon at the Palladium theater in Los Angeles. According to the theater's marquee, the event was put on by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council. Shots include exterior of the theater and marquee, people in front of the theater, police standing at the theater doors, many people, including King, seated at a table on the stage, and King speaking from the podium.
