Each year, Alaskan Brown Bears gather to await the arrival of millions of Pacific Salmon to swim upstream to lay their eggs and die. The Giant Alaskan Brown Bear is the salmon’s greatest predator. Weighing as much as 1,400 pounds and growing to 9 feet tall, they are suprisingly quick and agile when catching salmon. Predator and prey live in the roles assigned them by nature, including eagles.
