Description: The film consists of black & white footage from the late 1950s. Showcased are various aspects of the Los Angeles County Fair such as a pageant, cow milking and other contests, water skiing, elephants being offloaded from a train, a Civil Defense exhibit, and people flying remote-controlled airplanes. Scenes of the fairgrounds are also featured. Promotional footage is included for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus, along with a short film titled "The Circus - Where Practice Makes Perfect." The film is part of the Fairplex Records, which document the Los Angeles County Fair's vibrant 100-year history (1922-present) through a variety of materials and formats. Fairplex is a non-profit organization that operates the Los Angeles County Fair.
