Description: This video shows 16mm film footage of the many speakers at the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Iowa State Center that took place on the grounds of Iowa State University on October 30, 1965. Participants include Mrs. C.Y. Stephens turning the first shovel of dirt and former Iowa State President James H. Hilton addressing the crowd of supporters.
