Description: Episode of Series “Instruments of the band and orchestra”. Shows the three sections of a band - the brasses, the woodwinds, and the percussions - and explains the function of each group of instruments. Explains that the addition of a string section distinguishes an orchestra from a band. Includes demonstrations of well-known instruments from each section. Features the Jollet Township High School Band and the Youth Orchestra of Greater Chicago.
