Interaction: music and painting

Description: Composer Nigel Butterley and artist John Peart with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, demonstrate how music and image can interact to produce a unified work as painter and composer respond to each other. Also shows a variety of Australian locations which are used to motivate the final work including, convict ruins at Norfolk Island, Central Australian desert, “bush” (Nigel Butterley), “city” (John Peart).
