it finished on time before he gets home he'd like that I think I hear dad Dad's here I'm almost finished oh I can't wait till he sees it I better go get Dad to see it Daddy Daddy I'm so glad you're home I've got a surprise for you come into the kitchen right now I want you to see it honey not now I'm tired it's really special I worked on it the whole day for you I'll see it I'll see it in an hour okay let Daddy get it an hour ready I didn't come on I worked all day on it for you and it's a real special surprise I just want to rest daddy's tired I've been working all day on this report Daddy it's really special and it's right in the kitchen it'll just honey show it to your mommy mommy's already seen it and I want you to see it come on it's right in the honey you see all these papers I've been working on this your hands honey enough that's the last draw get out get out I don't want to see it I don't want to see you get out of here I hate him I hate him I hate him stupid dog you you're supposed to be my bed get off get off go away he just want to my picture he doesn't love me nobody loves me I'm going to run away come dear let me help well what was all the shouting about well your daughter knocked that report all over the living room floor that's what all the shouting was about well now Nick she wouldn't do that on purpose she kept tugging at me and tugging at me ever been tugged at and I'm tired and I had I went through a a traffic jam today I went through a report that is no good I've wasted my time on it and I'm tired and right now I just want to relax oh I'm sorry well didn't she tell you what she was so excited about didn't she find she said she had a surprise but I'm not in the mood for looking at a surprise okay honey I just want to sit here and relax she made something for you she's worked on a present for you every day after school for a week it's very important to her so maybe she can show it to me when I'm rested I exploded and I don't want to talk about it well it's as important to her as this report is to you had a hard day would you like something to drink yes I I hate him poor Shandy I'm sorry I was mean to you the only reason I yelled at you because I was angry with Dad I worked on that picture all day for him and then he didn't even look at it he just yelled at me cuz I knocked over his stupid papers but I won't ever do that to you again never I promise you know Shandy I don't think my father likes me he's always telling me to trim the grass wash the dishes I bet other girls fathers aren't that mean he never lets me go anywhere with my friends I think he's a stupid dummy I hope he goes away and never comes back honey what was that surprise Susan had for me just a minute I'll show you this is the surprise Susan had for you look at that it's pretty good yeah I really like it do you remember the photograph that she used do you remember that I sure do that's better than the photograph oh she'd be happy to hear that you should tell her that I shouldn't have lost my temper you know what I know this meant so much to her Nick she worked very hard on it and she hoped that you'd like it so much that you'd hang it in your office and show all your friends don't hang at my office oh she'd really like that Nick I'm going to go up and talk to her oh I think you should yeah Susan are you in there Susan I just want to talk to you honey are you in there I'd like to talk to you honey honey I'm sorry I lost my temper okay Daddy's had a hard day I just want to talk to you Susan I just want to talk to you honey Susan I I saw the painting and it's beautiful it's lovely looks just like Mommy and me and you it's really great I didn't mean to hurt your feelings I didn't mean to honey dad would you take Shandy outside I think she needs to go for a walk honey are you hungry no well if you get hungry later come on down okay come on girl Nick what happened well I told her that I was sorry for getting angry with her sorry I yelled at her she gives me the dog to walk oh For Heaven's Sake but what did she say is she coming down to dinner no she said she wasn't hungry oh Nick I'm going out wait uh let's give her a little time and then I'll go up and talk to her a little while later okay dinner's ready maybe it was all my fault maybe I did make a pest of myself Daddy I want you to see it now you have to come now I'm asking you to come now and you won't answer me come now I want you to see the surprise now dad now calm down [Music] is be what were terrible well you know that report that I Was preparing for Josh preparing for two months Well turns out that I was going in One Direction he was he was thinking in the in another complete waste of time and to top it all off coming home today I got into two huge traffic jams one I was in for about an hour oh that's got out of that drove for about 15 minutes got into another one terrible it was just too much to take well this day certainly hasn't turned out to be the day I thought it would be either just turned out to be one big disaster oh it really has been a mess it's such a nice picture she put so much of her time into that picture this week she was so pleased at how well it was going together and she could imagine how well you would accept it do you remember that day yeah I do that was Susan's birthday last year wow what a happy day that was yeah what a disaster today was yeah I know I think I will go upstairs and get some to do down here you want anything no I'm just going to sit in front of the fire for Inside Out is a series of programs and
