[Music] [Music] welcome to the park boys and girls I'm Park Bob Kemp and I work here and I work for the National Park Service and we want to we're glad that you could come with your class all right we're going to be seeing a lot of different things here today and while we're here talking about the history of the fort I want you to be very careful because we have some dangerous places here and I don't want okay step step back everybody can I help you come on right get back over here I'll help you here step back let me help okay I can do that [Laughter] you guys laughing at he's so gone and what's so funny about that okay you've just seen what happened to Mike and in the future when we go through the fort I want you all to stick together we're going in some dangerous places and I want you to be careful does everyone understand this okay let's go into the for [Music] be telling you about the battle that took place here as soon as the group catches up battle here was very very Fierce and the Confederates came up over the rise and then the Union soldiers were in charge of this can here most of the people who were hurt there were hundreds of people hurt and most of them who died died not from the actual wound but because there was no one to help them to clean out the wounds and if I was what could you have done I could have kept their wounds clean so they wouldn't have blood going over their body blood it you can't even stand the I can't you stand the side I could have cleaned their wounds I had first aid and they wouldn't have the stupidest thing I ever heard you would have run away if there any real danger I would not have there's a lot of difference between pretending and really helping them but I would have helped and I could have you're so silly oh just ignore them come on we got to catch up with the group [Music] turn the be turn the [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] woo no the it burn it on come on I could have helped come on Lisa come on let's go hi what were you doing over there just thinking about the battle did I miss anything oh no the guard was just talking about some battle house nothing very interesting though and here we have the Remington Model 44 that the uh army officers might have carried with them and this last bottle we talking about the other bottles this last bottle probably had the medicine in it and it's what found here in the park if you all go out into the park and if you find anything please be sure to turn the bottles back to us so that we'll have them because if you find something we need to keep it in our artifact collection I think that's about it okay I think this is a good time we can take a 45 minute break for um lunch now class and I'm sure Mr Kemp is hungry also go around look for artifacts um whatever you want to do but be sure to be back here by 1:00 because we have some more things to do well I'm going to find some that needle stuff [Music] [Music] [Music] see I wonder if Jamie will find something do you really think there's stuff buried in the in the forest around here I guess so that's park range you said well then let's go find some these places have been wiped out long ago well maybe we'll find a sword or something neat no I don't want to go I doubt if you find anything anyway oh come on let's go no I really don't feel one of the boys straight away and he fell off the cliff and he h bad please come so what do you want me to do come to the wood so you can help him I couldn't help him I tried but I couldn't listen there have been too many pranks in this neighborhood for me to go running through the woods and find nobody there no man' this is no joke he's really here you've got to come I don't have to do anything now will you get out of here please I don't want to hear another word get out of here I'll call my dog the CL and a boy fell off a cliff and me and he fell and he heard him you've got it complete all right calm down calm down now you say a boy fell off a cliff the one's over in the park the one's near thek you've got to come please okay okay now do you think he's hurt badly I don't know he says he can't move it's like it's been okay calm down do you think I could get down there to help you I don't know I tried and I couldn't calm yourself down enough to show me where he is okay
