Description: Shows beginning kindergarten experiences, and the development of skills in successive grades, until, as a culmination of elementary school learnings, a class edits, produces, and distributes a school newspaper. Portrays the various facets of the language arts program from diagnostic testing to trips far afield. Uses classroom projects and field trips to integrate knowledge areas — science, art, spelling, penmanship, and English composition. All areas are correlated into the child's background experience. Shows a class visiting Idlewild International Airport, and the resulting creative outgrowth.
