Old paper recycled into new paper

Transcription

Another major source of fiber is old magazines. Each year at our mills, more than 23,000 tons of them are transformed by chemical magic into fresh white fiber. The fiber's progress is tracked and checked by the quality control department. These fibers are scientifically mixed with fillers, chemicals, and water before delivery to the paper machine. The pulp is now ready to be made into paper. At the headbox end of this amazing paper-making machine, it enters as a mixture that is 99% water. It travels only a rough few feet on a speeding wire screen.
