I spent my life in the mines

Investigates the life of Bolivian miners through the autobiographical account of Juan Rojas, a third-generation miner. His story parallels the rise and fall of the mining industry and the history of political events in Bolivia. The miners, descendants of the ancient Indian peoples, even though integrated in an industrial workforce, retain many of the traditions of their old agricultural lifestyle. A few scenes are dramatizations, but most are documentary and show the inside of the mines and communities. Narration in English.
