Complete Record: Summary: Explains how Frederic Storaska has worked to understand the prevention of rape and assault and discusses his efforts to bring about openness to the subject. Mr. Storaska demonstrates how women can avoid being raped and describes ways to keep from being assaulted Synopsis: Film is a live speaking engagement in auditorium at SUNY Geneseo. Various WS and MS of female students in mid-70’s casual attire walking around tree-lined campus and filling up auditorium to hear Mr. Storaska speak. The porkchop sideburned Storaska, in spiffy Stewart plaid sportcoat & yellow turtleneck arrives at Geneseo (upstate NY) airport (outdoor landing strip), WS of Storoska disembarking plane by ladder. Sroraska is greeted by driver and female students and is interviewed in station wagon en route to auditorium. A former fledgling clinical psycologist, he talks about his experiences doing talks and how they influence and inspire young women. His first experience with a rape victim was an 11 year old girl being raped by ten boys, and he was able to stop the crime by using “his size and karate prowess”. This interview footage is interspersed with various young female students talking about how they would react and defend themselves in possible rape situations. Storaska, now decked in a soft light-blue suit, appears on-stage and gives his talk. The atmosphere is obviously mid 1970’s, everything from the attire and hairstyles, to the color scheme and fake wood walls of auditorium. Onstage (and occasional walk through the crowd) banter is interspersed with footage of crowd which is mostly female students and a few young males, also the occasional student coming up onstage to aid Storaska in various examples of how to “say no to a rapist”. There are many WS of crowd looking attentively, also a combination of WS, MS, ECU of crowd laughter.
