Description: Shot by an unknown American tourist, these silent home movies show a visit to Israel, probably in the late 1950s or early 1960s. The film starts with shots at what appears to be Haifa, including (2:15) a view of the industrial area of the city from a high vista. At around (4:00), the film shows various views of a farm or Kibbutz, with shots of a basketball court, tilled fields, and a group of young kids being escorted by a teacher or nanny (6:14). At (6:35) a sculpture or memorial is shown (if you know where it is, please leave a comment). At (7:20) Jewish pilgrims move through a gate during a festival. At (9:47) shots apparently at another kibbutz or camp with steel sheeting sided houses. At (10:28) Arabs move through the narrow streets of a town.
