Description: This silent 16mm film was shot in the late 1930s or early 1940s by a member of the Amateur Cinema League, a group of home moviemakers who met on a regular basis to screen their films. This film shows a trip from French Canada to Massachusetts. At 4:19 you will see Longue Sault Rapids, on the St. Lawrence River. At 9:10 you will see the Cadillac Summit Road in Acacia National Park. At the 9:49 mark, you will see scenes shot in Boston, Massachusetts including Old Ironsides the USS Constitution, a statue of Paul Revere, city traffic, Faneuil Hall, downtown (note at 11:08 the sign reading "Worker's Socialist Party"!), street or farmer's market, at 12:37 the cemetery, State House at 12:51. At 13:00 you will see the John W. Pray and Sons furniture store, apparently located at 132 Tremont Street. After that the film shows the Old Man of the Mountain in New Hampshire and the Mount Washington Hotel.
