Description: Created by an unknown American tourist in 1927, this black & white silent home movie shows a passenger ship cruise across the Southern Hemisphere to Australia and New Guinea. This film is only one part of what must have been a longer travelogue; unfortunately the other segments of it are apparently lost to history. The film gives a good idea of the experiences a wealthy tourist might have had in this era, visiting Tasmania, New South Wales and Melbourne, and New Guinea.
