Description: Description: While the stock market was crashing in 1929, an optimistic developer's project was taking shape in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. The reel documents the construction of the London Terrace apartment building by Henry Mandel Companies and the architectural firm Farrar & Watmough. With action spanning October of 1929 to spring, 1930, the building emerges and takes shape from excavation to completion.
