History in Your Community

Shows how a class conducts a study of the history of the local community. When a boy finds an Indian arrowhead and takes it to school, the pupils begin a study of the community by interviewing old residents, visiting old homes, and examining old newspapers and dates on tombstones. Shows a reconstructed general store, an apothecary shop, and street scenes typical of the early 1900's. Suggests that the history of every community is part of the history of the country.
