Complete Record: This made-for-television film integrates living people with animated characters to teach children about the human circulatory system. Dr. Research (Frank Baxter) and the writer (Richard Carlson) try to convince Hemo the Magnificent that humans understand the value and nature of blood. They outline the history of human knowledge about blood, and then describe how blood circulates through the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, arteries, and veins. Uses animation to show the functions of the heart, lungs and kidneys, to explain the nerve mechanism affecting heart action, arteries and veins, composition of blood, and causes of knockout and shock. Photographs show the beating of the human heart in slow motion, and the flow of blood through capillaries, arteries and veins.
