Hawaiian Heritage on Display at Dillard's

A performance of Hawaiian dance styles given outside of the Dillard's department store at Hancock Center. We see hula dancing, fire twirling, and an appreciative audience! This footage was likely shot to promote Hancock Center’s seventh birthday in February 1971. The “Hancock-Goes-Hawaiian” themed celebration included a drawing for a week-long Hawaiian vacation as well as the giveaway of ten thousand orchids to shoppers.
