Description: Shot by an unknown tourist, this late 1950s or early 1960s silent home movie shows some of the sights on the Big Island in Hawaii. This includes mostly natural sights like different volcanoes and the aftermath that their eruptions have left. The cameraperson was also particularly interested in botany and flowers with extensive footage of native species and slides showing some of their scientific names. There is also fascinating footage in this reel of cattle on what might be the Parker Ranch.
