In many stores, the security officers conduct classes to teach the sales staff how to be alert to shoplifterss. A great variety of security equipment has been developed to combat shoplifting. Spherical mirrors, two-way mirrors, and TV cameras are in widespread use. But there is some new and very sophisticated hardware, too. Some stores use censic tags on their merchandise.
