Description: Produced by the National film board of Canada and taken over for distribution by the OWI. Canada is now turning out more explosives in a period of six months than were turned out in the entire period of the last war. Here we see an increasing tide of workers among whom are chemists, engineers, lab technicians combining their skills to turn out the deadly materials of annihilation. Animated diagrams and the making of TNT. A portion of the film is devoted to picturing life around the plant. Workers are shown at their home environment and also taking advantage of many social activities and recreational facilities available. The stages of manufacture are carefully depicted with the necessity for eternal vigilance revealed as much on the rapt faces of the workers as by the rule with devices and rigidly enforced rules. H. V. Kossel.
