"Gypsies' tells about the efforts of a member of the Soviet government to try to get the band of nomads to whom he has been assigned to settle down and become collective farmers. Load to them is their freedom, the gypsies listen patiently to the government representative and gratefully take the food given them by the authorities, but make no real effort to give up their wandering life."
