Complete Record: The elements of the periodic table can be grouped into families. The most most common elements of the alkali metals family are lithium, sodium, and potassium. The film shows how these elements have common properties such as soft and silvery, react readily with air, conduct electricity, float on water, react with water, react with chlorine to produce a white chloride which is water soluble. Briefly explains that the other elements of the alkali metal family - rubidium, cesium, and francium - also have similar properties, but react more violently than the other three elements.
