Description: Abridged from the feature film. Shows the debut of Johann Strauss and his success on his first public appearance; then pictures a Viennese music store where Strauss's published waltzes are displayed. Plays and shows the source of inspiration for "The Beautiful Blue Danube," selections from Die Fledermaus, and "Tales from the Vienna Woods." Presents the people of Vienna and the Emperor of Austria giving a celebration in honor of Strauss.
