Governor John M. Slaton, Part I

Dramatizes the efforts of Governor John M. Slaton, of Georgia, to protect the rights of convicted murderer Leo Frank despite grave risks to his own political future. Although there was doubt as to the testimony which convicted Frank, an inflamed mob lynched him after the governor had commuted his death sentence.
