Governor Connally signs paperwork and takes an oath in an Austin office. Of note is that Governor Connally’s right arm remains in a sling due to his lingering injury from the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, causing him to sign his paperwork and shake hands with his left hand, despite being right-handed.
