Description: Stars James Darren, Michael Callan and Deborah Walley. Portrays Gidget, the irrepressible and irresistible surfboard sweetheart of the teen-ager set. Shows Gidget vacationing at Waikiki with her parents.
Francie "Gidget" Lawrence (Deborah Walley) and Jeff "Moondoggie" Matthews (James Darren) have just gotten pinned when Gidget's father Russ (Carl Reiner) announces that they are going to Hawaii for two weeks. Gidget refuses to go and leave Jeff alone. When Jeff encourages Gidget to go to Hawaii, Gidget gives him back his pin and tells her folks she has changed her mind. Abby Stewart (Vicki Trickett) spreads a rumor that Gidget has slept with Eddie and other guys.
