This is seen through the eyes of a German family as they enjoy a two-week holiday motoring through the Southern Uplands — from Frankfurt, down the Rhine to Heidelberg, southward to Stuttgart, then through the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) where charming villages, ancient crafts and simple folkways contrast with the modern industrial area just to the north.
