Description: This industrial film examines the Imperial Sugar Company in Sugar Land. The production begins with images of sugar fields in Hawaii, where farmers harvest the crop to ship to the Port of Galveston. Eventually the“energy-packed, fun-to-eat food” arrives at the facility in Sugar Land, where it undergoes an extensive refining process. At last the raw sugar resembles that which we sprinkle on grapefruit and stir into coffee: refined, white sugar.
