Description: The development of the American woman from her underprivileged 19th Century position to her active role in reform movements today is analyzed and illustrated. A suffragette is interviewed, as are members of the League of Women Voters, Women's Christian Temperance Union, Women for Peace, Planned Parenthood, and HOME, a group of women engaged in finding housing for minority groups.
