Description: States that man attempts to structure his experiences so as to provide a true orientation for his life and that in doing so finds he can arrange all life into a series of different levels. Patterns these organizational levels from the sub-atomic, atomic, molecular, macromolecular, virus, to the cellular organisms on a tissue level. Uses models of carbohydrate, fat, and protein molecules to demonstrate this building of structure. Models organized parts of cells and cites the activities found at the cellular level as metabolism, growth and development, responsiveness and movement, and reproduction. Groups organisms further into colonies, herds, families, or communities. Summarizes that man needs a true orientation to the facts about the organisms in his environment so he can discover who he is and his role in the whole scheme of nature.
