Forming, feeding and assembly

Description: Episode number 4 of Series “Approaching Automation”. Discusses various means of adapting existing equipment, by adding to it or redesigning it. Much manual work can be cut down by installing timing devices and automatic controls, improving feeding methods and reassessing assembly procedures. Shows new methods of mechanical fastening, including the new adhesives. Stresses need to adhere to International and British Standards.
