Content Description
Scenes from the first half of the football game played between the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Carolina Stadium on November 14, 1964. Carolina won 23 to 13. The game marked one of USC's most significant victories of the season, highlighted by the defense's containment of Wake Forest stars Brian Piccolo and quarterback John Mackovic. USC paired that defensive performance with a second-half offensive surge to secure the win. Head Coaches: SC-Marvin Bass and WF-Bill Tate

Collection Description
This collection includes 16mm film and video shot by the University of South Carolina's Athletic Department from the 1940s to the 1990s. Most of the films document UofSC's football and basketball programs; a handful document the University's track-and-field program. The majority of films and videos show games played by the Fighting Gamecocks, both football and basketball teams, and include full games and highlights, with defensive and offensive wide shots, for training, scouting and recruitment purposes, as well as special events in the athletic calendar.
