SPRT 5020; October 23rd 1993; Vanderbilt at South Carolina; Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC, GAME RECAP:Carolina jumped off to an early 12-0 first quarter lead with a 28-yard REED MORTON field goal, a STACY EVANS sack of Vandy QB Cedric Douglas for a safety and a STEVE TANEYHILL 1-yard sneak for his first-ever rushing touchdown. The Gamecock defense ultimately held the Vandy offense to 84 total yards with the deepest penetration going to the Carolina 38-yard line. LB HANK CAMPBELL led the defense and in a post-game interview promised a Gamecock victory in next week's Tennessee game at Williams-Brice. FINAL SCORE:SC 22 Vandy 0; HEAD COACHES:SC-SPARKY WOODS VANDY-GERRY DINARDO; VIDEO: Crowd/39 minutes/2nd quarter plus halftime

Collection Description
This collection includes 16mm film and video shot by the University of South Carolina's Athletic Department from the 1940s to the 1990s. Most of the films document UofSC's football and basketball programs; a handful document the University's track-and-field program. The majority of films and videos show games played by the Fighting Gamecocks, both football and basketball teams, and include full games and highlights, with defensive and offensive wide shots, for training, scouting and recruitment purposes, as well as special events in the athletic calendar.
