Content Description
Various scenes of a football game played between the University of Mississippi and the University of South Carolina at Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Footage shows UofSC defense only.
GAME RECAP: Junior Bobby Marino kicked a 21-yard field goal with 17 seconds remaining to give the Gamecocks a 10-7 victory over the home-standing Ole Miss Rebels. LB Grahl Phillips recovered a Rebel fumble at the UofSC 47-yard line setting up the game-winning drive and subsequent field goal. RBs Jay Lynn Hodgin and Kevin Long ran for 12 and 15 yards respectively followed by a Jeff Grantz to Phillip Logan pass play to the Ole Miss 13-yard line. Three running plays put the ball on the four and Marino did the rest. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Gamecocks.

Collection Description
This collection includes 16mm film and video shot by the University of South Carolina's Athletic Department from the 1940s to the 1990s. Most of the films document UofSC's football and basketball programs; a handful document the University's track-and-field program. The majority of films and videos show games played by the Fighting Gamecocks, both football and basketball teams, and include full games and highlights, with defensive and offensive wide shots, for training, scouting and recruitment purposes, as well as special events in the athletic calendar.
