The Gamecocks completed the season with 5 wins and 6 losses (5-6); Sterling Sharpe, one of only 4 Gamecocks players to have his number retired, played for the Gamecocks in 1985 and had a notable 104 yd. kickoff return for a touchdown against Duke University on October 12, 1985 (30:49)

Collection Description
This collection includes 16mm film and video shot by the University of South Carolina's Athletic Department from the 1940s to the 1990s. Most of the films document UofSC's football and basketball programs; a handful document the University's track-and-field program. The majority of films and videos show games played by the Fighting Gamecocks, both football and basketball teams, and include full games and highlights, with defensive and offensive wide shots, for training, scouting and recruitment purposes, as well as special events in the athletic calendar.
