This 1960s Soviet film "Flight of Gagarin into Space" introduces viewers to the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man to become a cosmonaut / astronaut by entering outer space and completing one orbit on 12 April 1961, with his flight taking 108 minutes.. Gagarin’s childhood and journey to becoming a cosmonaut are shared in this short documentary. "Gagarin Into Space" also includes footage and audio from the first flight into space as well as footage from the celebrations worldwide upon his triumphant return from space in the Vostok 1 spacecraft.
