Felix Goes A Hunting/ Felix ‘Hyps’ the Hippo

Complete Record: Woman complains to husband, “All the neighbors have fur coats but me!” (in speech bubble). She tells her husband, “Broke or no broke I’ve got to have one!” “Don’t show your nose in here again without a fur coat for me!” and storms out of the room. Husband, at a loss, declares “The only way for me to get me is to shoot it!”. Husband tries to shoot a rabbit bouncing a ball but misses. Felix the cat walks by and sees the target that the husband has been practicing on and offers to show him how to shoot. Felix shoots backwards with his tail and hits the bull’s eye. Felix shoots upwards and brings down a bird. Amazed, the husband recounts his problems with his wife (via animated thought bubble). Felix offers to shoot him some rabbits. Felix chases a rabbit into a tree and fights with him inside the tree. He gets dumped out of the tree along with a black bear. The bear chases Felix over a cliff, but Felix gets back up via a see-saw log device. The chase continues. Felix finds his way back to the husband, who also starts running away from the bear. They run into the house, but the bear follows, so they jump out the window. Meanwhile the wife is day dreaming about her fur coat in the house. The bear sees her. Cut to outside of house, where we can see that a fight has started. Out comes the battered black bear, now white, and dazed. He scampers away. Out comes the happy wife in her new fur coat! Felix winks. 2. Felix chases and bats a mouse around. A hypnotist entrances Felix and suddenly the mouse is able to out power him. Felix doesn’t know what happened and is confused. Cut to the hypnotist declaring “Success!”. Felix then sees the hypnotist laughing with his back turned. He see a “How to be a Hypnotist” book stuck in the back of the man’s pants. Angered, steals the book, reads up on how to hypnotize someone, and convinces the man he is a bird. Felix exclaims, “Hooray! I have the world in my power!”. Laughing, Felix accidentally bumps into a big grumpy policeman. Running away, he happens upon a posting for $1000 reward for the return of lost white hippo. Felix hatches a plan... he finds the hippo’s tracks and follows them to the river. When he encounters the hippo (which looks more like a rhinoceros, with a horn), he goes to pull out his hypnotist’s book, but realizes that he has lost it. The hippo then starts to chase Felix. Felix runs up a tree, pulls the horn off the hippo, and starts to play it like a musical instrument. The hippo likes the music and starts to dance. Felix then leads the unsuspecting hippo back to the circus. Hurray!
