Fatal Compromise

Presents an animated story in which a friendly little hedgehog almost falls prey to an enchanting cat that plans to eat him. Without narration. This soft-hued whimsical animated tale chronicles the problems a friendly little hedgehog encounters when, caught up in lively music, it tries to persuade some neighbors to join a happy dance. Put off by the hedgehog’s prickly spines, they all refuse to come near the dance. The little hedgehog is disappointed and dejected until a beautiful angora cat offers a solution - why not simply remove some of those troublesome spines. Elated, the hedgehog rushes off for a close shave and returns to the delighted cat, and both whisk into a vivacious waltz. But ... our little friend discovers all too soon the folly of compromise with the enchanting cat. The moral of this story is if you’re not careful, not only will you make a fool of yourself, you just may make a meal of yourself! Produced by Pannonia Film Studios, Hungary. Directed by Josef Gemes.
