Robert Stewart explained how the high speed digital computer saves time in solving lengthy and complicated mathematical problems he stressed that cyclone does not think but merely carries off the operators instructions while demonstrating the computer he emphasized that in addition to the new computing facilities the machine will be useful in teaching design use and operation the computer is located in a new addition to the electrical engineering building over 1000 student members of band chorus orchestra singers and dancers participated in the annual christmas festival of music the Christmas story by contemporary composer ron nelson was featured at this year's festival in addition to the traditional selection the festival is often referred to as the music departments greeting to the people of Iowa you
