Description: Combines comments by mentally handicapped individuals with the views of special education professionals to implore that the mentally handicapped be allowed to live self-sustaining lives. Shows the work being done with preschool children, secondary school students, vocational trainees, church members, cooperative living groups, married couples, and individuals living largely independent lives. Emphasizes how public misconceptions often deny this minority the chance to live like "everyday people." One to One Media Award, 1979; American Film Festival, Honorable Mention, 1981.
