A study of an Eskimo family living on Nunivak Island, off the Alaskan coast, showing how the Eskimo people solve the problem of providing food, clothing, shelter, and transport for themselves. Today the results of the contacts made with the outside world can be seen in the changing customs of the Eskimo people.
