Description: In this charming scene, a whimsical and eccentric composer — Erik Satie — welcomes a rare guest into his private room, playfully dubbing him "King of the Beans" and declaring him the first outsider ever granted entry. Satie shows off his quirky drawings and explains his lifelong pursuit of fun and humor, dismissing stuffy, self-important musicians who would never appreciate his unconventional works. After a brief, lighthearted musical interlude and a small mishap involving a woman, the visit draws to a close, with Satie announcing that the new piece he had performed would be titled "The War Song of the King of the Beans." The narrator closes by reflecting that although Satie is gone, his spirit and personality live on through his music.

I hope you realize what a singular honor I'm bestowing upon you Mr King of the beans you are the first Outsider ever to be admitted to this room of mine found a color button did you draw all these oh that merely things to amuse myself I assure you sir I look for fun in everything I do just like you I came into the world when I was very young at a time which was very old aha what does this mean how could anybody play this like a night Gale with a toothache very easily any pianist with a sense of humor would know exactly what I meant as for the rest the puffed up ones will never enjoy these works let them swallow their beards let them dance on their own stomachs here this is a piece I've been working [Music] on [Music] [Music] Leroy [Music] what [Music] I [Music] [Music] oh I'm sorry M think nothing of it Madam I'm content that you two are at peace it's time we were going well sir it's been a remarkable day I thank you indeed oh yes do you remember that new piece that I played for you well I've decided on how to finish it and I've also thought of a suitable title I shall call it the war song of the king of the beans so that was Eric Sati do you think you would like to have known him you still can if you listen to his [Music] music [Music]
